H-hey Kumon.

[9mon]

[He pats the top of the blankets.]

Comfy like under all of that?

...yeah. It's warm and soft in here.

[9mon]

This whole place is warm and soft.

[He shifts so he's cuddled up to the blanket pile.]

It's a nice change of pace.

[ The blanket pile shifts to be more comfortably pressed against Kumon! The blankets also shift just enough that they reveal a small patch of pale blue between the top of the blanket and Danny's beanie. ]

[9mon]

[Blue...?]

After weeks of this... it's really nice.

[A nice soft place to cuddle and relax.

Can't wait until it also gets tainted by Death.]

Yeah...it really is. I don't think I've ever been surrounded by this many blankets. This is like, the ultimate blanket fort.

[ BODY! IN THE BLANKET PILE

anyway, blue! If Kumon looks more closely, he'll see that it's...an ear! A blue ear. One that is also pointed. ]

[9mon]

I know, right? My cousin would love something like this.

[He reaches out and very lightly touches the ear.]

Your ear's a little blue, y'know.

Your cousin? That's...not Juza, right?

[ that's when Kumon touches his ear and Danny immediately yelps, blankets shifting as he curls underneath them out of sight, now fully buried in them. ]

Oh, uh, sorry!

[He wasn't expecting that sort of reaction.]

No, it's--sorry. I'm just, uh. Having a bad hair day? And a...bad skin day? I guess?

[9mon]

Oh...? I'll still like you even if your skin is blue. Promise.

[gogoghostpowers]

[ quieter and more muffled: ]

It's uh...it's not just that.

[9mon]

...?

What do you mean?

It's not just my skin.

[9mon]

... Are you feeling okay? Do you need anything?

[ a long pause, before the tiniest of rustles ]

...I don't know. I don't think anything can help with this.

[ he peeks his head out just a bit, just enough for Kumon to see his ears and eyes. Sure enough, every inch of skin is the same pale blue. Both ears are pointed. And Danny's eyes are red. And I don't mean like the crying kind, I mean his irises have changed from blue to red. ]

[9mon]

[ Well. This is all very new and confusing, but considering how everyone seems to have extra features, Kumon's just gonna take this in stride. ]

Hmm... Does it hurt at all?

Sometimes, when I'm talking--ow!

[9mon]

Ah- uh- then don't talk?

[ Man, he doesn't have any idea how to help with this. He hands him a warm, amber chameleon. ]

[gogoghostpowers]

[ Danny sits up a little to accept the chameleon in his hands. The blanket falls away enough to show the rest of his face, including the fangs in his mouth. ]

Ugh. I'd rather keep accidentally poking myself while talking than have to play charades while my skin is blue.

[9mon]

[ He mostly says this to himself. Now that he can see them, that makes much more sense.

He really thought "how are you hurting yourself, you're just blue." ]
