Well I'm not a flesh puddle on the ground, so I think we can safely say they didn't steal any of my bones.

I wish I was a flesh puddle, though. [ groans and falls over to starfish on the floor ] I'm exhausted.

I dunno if the floor's the best for resting.

There was this weird sticky stuff everywhere, but I dunno what it was? Nothing attacked us.

I don't think glue stays that sticky after it was left out?

Huh. Well, what was it like? Other than just "sticky," I guess.

It kinda made it so we stuck to each other? I think it was called "ectoplasm".

Oh. Was it green? Or glowing or anything?

Um... Maybe it was green once, but it didn't seem to have a color when I was looking at it? No glow though.

Well, it should probably be fine. Ectoplasm is usually harmless.

Is ectoplasm a normal ghost thing?

Are they okay when they leave so much behind?

Usually, yeah. They can generate it too, so it's not like you're cleaning up their guts, exactly.

Sometimes you're just cleaning up their...energy residue? I guess?

[He's wracking his brain to figure out if there's anything that's like this in real life and failing.

No, no! I mean, maybe, for a snail ghost? I mean like, energy beams! That they shoot out of their hands or something!

[He starts laughing along with him, because the idea of a snail ghost is just so out there.]

I had no idea ghosts could do that kinda stuff!

Most of 'em, yeah.

Ectoplasm is like--it can be a lot of stuff! It can be goop, it can be a ghost's body, it can be energy, it can be like fire or acid...but if you've already touched it and nothing happened other than getting sticky, you're probably alright.
