[They make it back to Amber, and it feels like there’s a lump in his throat when he tries to get the words out.
Last week, that Thursday, everything awful that happened then feels like it’s coming straight back in a rush. He wants to tell Kazu- he feels like of all the people here, he should’ve told him first but it’s terrifying, thinking of what he did in that arena.

[ nonribbit is in the art room! the paints are out, but it seems like he's given up on that. instead, he's just curled over a sketchbook with a plush keychain set to one side of the table, drawing... summer.

[ as soon as they can move, kazunari practically runs from the central node. it's the one time he doesn't wait for kumon, or at least check on him first to make sure he's okay and any fevers are manageable.
but he is still kazunari, so finding him is easy enough when kumon knows him better than anyone else in the prism. he's in the art room, pulling out paints so he can try to get some of this restless energy out, to leave his racing thoughts on a canvas instead of stuck in his head. it's always been easier to think that way, to figure out what he wants or needs.
he does glance up when kumon arrives to offer a weak smile, though. ]
