Wow. I've been to the beach plenty times before, but never a real beach, like on the ocean.

...Really? I guess America's a little big to expect that everyone can do that... What kind of beach have you gone to, then?

Well...I live in the midwest, so real beaches are like, hundreds of miles in any direction. But we're near the Great Lakes! And they're huge. Like, bigger than you can really see the end of on the other side. And the shores around there get pretty beachy!

It's not the same, but it's still really nice in the summers.

I don't think I've seen a lake that big. Better than nothing, though, huh?

So what do you think of the ocean, then?

It's pretty cool, just knowing how much bigger it is! Plus, the fact that there are real waves is pretty awesome.

I could live without the saltwater, though.

That's fair - it kind of sticks to you even more than just the sand, but they usually have fountains where you can clean up a little, but it doesn't help if you get it in your eyes.

Think we could find surfboards somewhere? That could be fun to try.
