When have I ever gotten mail here? No, dude, it's for you!
[ holds out a slightly slimy letter for Kumon!!
It says the following: Kumon-kun, thank you! Yes, I can read. And yes, like the red sash–any items you all haven't matched to a resident yet. Crow-san might have the scarf? We received a few items already, and will do what we can. Meanwhile, this side is like quarantine–we're here because killing and refracting both cause imbalances, which the prism doesn't like. Does that make sense? Also, we aren't behind the animals or that strange chart! Please clear our names. And as always, thank you for all the flowers–I wish we could send some back. -RN & KA ]
[ Danny grins at the kiss and allows a few cuddles before he separates to go to the kitchen! ]
I gotta get more of those cookies of yours, dude.
[ so once Kumon finishes reading, Danny is rummaging around! ]
It's the imbalances. I still don't really know what causes imbalances, though, exactly. Like, how are we supposed to know what needs balancing? And if we're doing it right or not?
[He'll take a seat at the table, the cookies are nicely stored in a container for lasting freshness.]
I feel like we're getting some different messages? 'Cause there's don't do what the prism wants you to do, and also figure out some way to balance the prism?
... I guess if the prism's already broken, then maybe it's the same thing.
[ ah! there they are! Danny grabs the container and leads Kumon over to the couch before plopping down. let's cuddle and eat cookies. and talk about dire plot stuff, i guess. ]
I dunno...balancing the prism might stop the refractions, but it's not gonna help get us outta here. It's almost like it's two totally separate problems, instead of one.
[ takes a warm chewy cookie out of the container and jesus FUCK i still really want some goddamn cookies ]

[A kiss to his cheek and he cuddles up to his side as he reads it.]
Huh... If the prism doesn't like the killing or the refractions, I wonder what's causing them? Think it's the same thing that made the chart show up?

So... Are we supposed to break the prism more?

I don't know. I mean, I thought that's what we were supposed to do, but then there were those other ominous messages people found at the town hall...

Also, apparently you're like, the dead's favorite person to write to, so that's pretty cool.

[But at least he does write back.]
Wonder if we'll see Dreamer again.
