I certainly crossed some words with one of them. It was...frustrating.
[To put it lightly. There was absolutely no way November was going to go ride that giant bird with so many eyes to go hunt pests. Especially not after that incident in the laboratory. In this bizarre monochrome place, with so many strange dangers, you can't go trusting anything except the people you arrived with -- and that's going to change once the murders start]
Most people would find the denizens of this realm suspicious, especially given how there are many hostile ones meandering around. That you don't is, let's say...alarming.
[To not use a far less kind word, truthfully. It's a good thing November is not the sort to insult most people]
Well.... they helped me use my color and put color back. [His whole outfit has all the colors restored] I don't think they could be all bad. Otherwise why wouldn't they just slaughter everybody when we were talking to them?
There are a lot of reasons why they wouldn't. [His immediate thought is that it's to manipulate those foolish enough to trust them a ittle. Still, without evidence he can't say such a thing and he knows it, so he doesn't] But I'll concede that point. Alright.
I didn't expect any of them to play catch with you, though.
We can communicate with the prism, which I think means using our colors? We can use them by thinking about what you wanna do with it really hard and then doing it.
[Huh, a refusal...November accurately comes to the conclusion that it's not an unlimited power. Someone as eager as Kumon would keep using it if there were no drawbacks, he thinks. Hmmmmm...]
I suppose there's no harm in trying.
[He guesses it's time to try it and see what happens]
[November closes his eyes for a moment and focuses. Come up with something, come up with something...
...
You know what he isn't? A terribly creative soul for this sort of thing. A lot of things that come to mind he would like to create are definitely not things this power would be able to create, hah]
Tell me something I should make. Anything you think is good.
[Focus on his color. Crystalline color. Picturing it is easy enough, but is he supposed to imagine the object with that color or--
Suddenly, a baseball mitt does appear in thin air, falling to the floor. Oh. Well that was easy to do! Although it soon is obvious there's absolutely no warmth coming from it. It gives a sense of calmness once picked up but it sure has no warmth like the baseball Kumon made has]
[The praise makes November chuckle. He doesn't think it's weird this kid is praising him like this, but he does see it's an unusual situation for him to be taught something like this in the first place.
He turns it over in his hands, intrigued]
I see why you said you'd try tomorrow. Then again, it shouldn't be surprising making something appear out of nothing is the sort of action that tires you up. Or perhaps it's matter of practice and before long we'll both be making countless objects appear at once without even having to pause!
It'd be super cool if we could level up our powers that way. It kinda sounds like we're just not used to using it yet, but we could get really good at it.
[Don't make November 11 unstoppable, that's not going to be good during a murdergame. He may not be evil but he wouldn't hesitate to take lives if that becomes necessary and 'the rational choice'!]

What do you think about those?

And I played catch with one. [ Very important, can't forget that! ]

[That part is a surprise no matter what, hah]

They said if we want things to get better we need to use our colors.
[Nods.]
Yeah. The one that came out of the marigold archway turned into a corgi and everything. It was super fun.

[Holds up his baseball! It's very warm.]
I managed to make this.
no subject
Can you make something else? Like a baseball glove?
[Now he wonders about the limitations of such a power!]
no subject
[He doesn't wanna overwork himself and faint or something.]
Do you wanna try making something?
no subject
I suppose there's no harm in trying.
[He guesses it's time to try it and see what happens]
How did you do it?

How about that, it does work.

[He doesn't think for a second about how weird it is to praise an adult for this. Besides, none of them are used to making stuff like this?
He picks it up and tests it out for a moment before handing it over.]
Yeah. It looks just like a regular one.

I wonder if we'll keep this when we get home, or if it's tied to the prism.
no subject
It probably is tied to this place. Also, wouldn't everyone be alarmed at home if you returned with at least three supernatural powers in your arsenal?

...is that public knowledge?
